Telecom Line Faults
Please perform all these quick tests before calling for support. By carrying out these tests we can diagnose and repair your fault quicker.
Analogue Lines
Try plugging an analogue phone into the socket
- do you get a dial tone?
- can you make a call?
- can you receive a call?
if you answered 'no' to any of the above questions then please call our support number.
ISDN2
If the green light on the ISDN box (on the wall) is flashing this usually indicates a problem with the ISDN circuit.
If the green light is solid then this indicates the problem could be with your phone equipment/system so please call you phone maintainer in the first instance.
ISDN30
ISDN30 does it affect all extensions and can internal calls be made? If internal calls can not be made then this could indicate a problem with your equipment/system and such your phone maintainer should be contacted in the first instance.
Multilines
Multilines what line is the fault on (an easy way to identify which line is affected is to manually select each line at the same time and attempt to make outbound calls)
Call Problems
If problems are being experienced with outbound calls only please complete the following tests and report findings back:

If you dial 9 (or other number) for an outside line then continue to use this, please could you make the following test calls:
- 121 then dial out to a telephone number
- 141 then dial out to a telephone number
- 1280 then dial out to a telephone number
- 1211280 then dial out to a telephone number
- 1411280 then dial out to a telephone number
NGN
Try the underlying number, if there is a problem on the underlying number then you need to call your line provider. If the underlying number is fine but the NGN is not then please call our support number.
