Max Morrison FRICS
CEO - Director

Founder shareholder, Max works full time within Greystone. With a background in property, financial services and corporate finance and a string of other Greystone companies he established and later sold, all named after his family home “Greystones” in the 1980s, he brings his entrepreneurial skills into the development of products, services and their delivery to a wide customer base. His involvement with telecoms started in 1996, when he helped a fledgling web writing company XTML in Manchester raise seedcorn finance, and introduced them to professionals, to raise second and third round significant institutional funding to become a major hosting and applications centre. The business was successfully sold and the centre today is run by Pipex. He founded Greystone Telecom in September 2000.

Keith Jordan I. Eng MIET, MIoD, FCMI, FRSA
Chairman (Non Executive) - Director

Keith has 10 years experience as an investing Chairman and Non-Executive Director representing Private Equity Houses and VCs. Notably he has extensive buy-in (MBO/MBI) acquisition, turnaround and exit successes under his belt. Currently, he holds the position of Non Executive chairman of 6 companies, 4 of which are involved in related technologies including message devices, security systems, infra red wireless communications systems and telecommunications. The turnover range of these companies lies between £3m and £260m. Keith was the chairman of XTML, appointed by 3i, one of the institutional venture capital where he met Max. Keith is a keen car enthusiast and in his spare time restores classics to perfection in his organised workshop.

Murray Leng-Smith FCMA
Finance Director

Murray has worked for many years in senior roles, mainly in the leisure industry and is professionally qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant. He joined Greystone in 2005 and has a wealth of experience of management information and control systems as well as strategic planning and recently played a key role in the SAP implementation within the company. Murray is involved in forecasting, telecoms billing and tariff management, which he runs with a small team of committed helpers.

Steve Bloomfield MBCS CITP HND Information Technology
IT Director

After graduating, Steve contracted as an electronic engineer. He later landed a job on the web team at The British Council where he advised and wrote web pages for British Council offices around the world. Taking on other challenges Steve worked in XTML Creative as Web Manager, and as Web Master of www.manchester.com for 5 years before joining Greystone in 2002. Steve looks after the company IT infrastructure, servers, software, also develops software, database and administration and anything else technical… as he says “that we can throw at him.”. Steve is professionally qualified as a Chartered IT Professional.

Customer Services Director

Lorraine has enjoyed an interesting and demanding career - from looking after MOD contracts, to helping Granada in the field IT and communications sector. She joined Greystone at inception and her skills became apparent very quickly. She runs a small customer services team, and our unique 24 x 365 Greystone Support. Whilst Lorraine is our Customer Service Director she also specialises and is highly proficient in the design of Interactive Voice Response and Auto Attendant routing, Call Care and in helping many of our Blue Chip customers achieve the most from their inbound calls.

Chris Morrison BSc (Hons) Management Studies Leeds
Sales Director

Chris joined the company after completing his gap year in Australia in 2004 and became the highest performing Business Development Executive within two months. His hard work and commitment were rewarded with his appointment as a director in December 2006 and he now runs both the landline and mobile sales teams within Greystone and also the call centre sales. Energetic within the office, he is also a very active sportsman outside the business, having captained his basketball team, in the winter months he plays both rugby and soccer for local clubs and is also a keen snowboarder.

Irene Holmes
HR Manager, IIP Development Manager & Board PA

Irene joined the company in 2004 as PA to the CEO, but soon took it upon herself to engage in improving all aspects of employment, including HR systems and management and staff training. With the customer base comprising so many blue chip companies and institutions, Irene formed part of the steering committee’s decision to improve and rationalise “quality systems” for measuring achievement, which has led to the company’s ISO 9001 2000 and Investors in People Accreditations. Irene attends all board meetings and prepares all board packs to exacting standards and is a welcoming face to all visitors.

Michelle Agnew MAAT, BTECH, NVQ3
Group Finance Assistant

Michelle is a truly focused member of the team. In her personal life, she has attained excellence in athletics and in performing arts, is keen on both participating in and watching all sports particularly MUFC. Kick boxing and working out in the gym are favourites. Michelle worked at Manchester Airport before joining Greystone in 2004, looks after purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and customer rebates, and assists in the preparation of management accounts.

Rachael Weedall NVQ3
Billing Manager and Credit Controller

Rachael from the time she left school has always worked in accounting and is AAT part 1 qualified. She has worked for both TV stations and Manchester Airport, joining Greystone in 2005 to create and look after bespoke telecoms tariffs for our customers and to manage our telecoms billing platform. Rachael is considerate and kind to everyone and in the office her spirit of happiness and teamwork rubs off on everyone else. Rachael is a true asset to Greystone.

Gemma Lamonby
Field Sales Executive

Gemma works both within and out of the office, particularly specialising in business mobile telephony. Average handset deals vary between 3 and 30 although some are much larger. Gemma worked for the Caudwell Group (Business 4U) before joining Greystone and in 2006 achieved the highest sales value of any employee, in any one month. She also provides broadband solutions, line rental, and PSTN landline telecoms services to businesses across the UK. Having been an Aerobics Instructor, Trained Dancer and Professional Make Up Artist she keeps fit and always looks good - believing that preparation and being organised ensures she gets our customers the best deals.

Sam Gavin
Business Solutions Administrator
ISO Quality Manager

Sam is one of our younger members and is currently undertaking an NVQ in Business Administration which she is enjoying. She often works late and her mature and organised approach won her the opportunity to be promoted to ISO Quality Manager. Sam supports Chris our Sales Director, and her department processes mobile connections and sales orders via SAP, and provides an additional layer of customer service. Sam also updates internal audits, deals with bill analysis and stock control. Outside the office she spends time with close friends and family.

Guy Hickton
Business Development Manager

Guy has a quiet and focused personality. He looks after customer accounts and develops new business over the phone. Having worked in the retail division of BT, and in business account management SME and Corporate, Guy has a wide experience relating to all forms of connectivity including Line Rental, ISDN 2 and ISDN30, Featureline and Select Services all of which he uses to great effect at Greystone. In terms of accumulated residual business, Guy is our top performer. He particularly enjoys the specialised services and business solutions which Greystone can offer to customers on their inbound calls and in the past 12 months our staff have voted him “Employee of the Month” twice!

Rahmon Moetamedi
Account Management Executive

Ram is one of the younger members of our team. With a focused professional approach and disarming charm he has won many new customers and an equal number of compliments from existing customers whose accounts he supports. He puts this down to his charismatic personality and sense of humour. Whatever, he keeps the team amused and is another “Employee of the Month” vying for top position. A keen sportsman in county rugby matches he has represented Cheshire and to keep fit he is a regular attendee at his local gym.

Sandra Buckley - Fully Qualified Secretary/PA (Pitman Shorthand)
Receptionist

Sandra likes meeting people which is why she looks after our reception. On the phone she is often the first voice our customers hear. Our callers and visitors are always complimenting her because she is friendly, outgoing and takes a genuine interest in them and has an excellent memory. Sandra takes pride in ensuring that customers always feel welcome. She is also a popular member within our team always offering to help others when required.

Chris Sanderson
Customer Services Executive

Chris joined Greystone in April 2007. He comes from a customer service background which has included a Building Society and Vehicle Rental Company. Our customers have noted his pleasant telephone manner and how he strives to ensure each and every enquiry is dealt with promptly and efficiently.
