Greystone Site Locator is a bespoke service that we build specifically for customers who wish to use a single, easy-to-remember Non-Geographic Number (NGN) for their customer’s enquiries.

The Site Locator service then automatically routes their callers’ enquiries, to their nearest branch, shop or store.

Typically used by large chain stores throughout the UK, their customers ring a memorable number to locate the nearest store to them.
Optionally, they can be put through to a particular store if they have a particular enquiry.

To provide an optimum service, we require a list of all customer stores / offices and we provide our customers with a bespoke geographic split of all the dial codes in the UK.

We then agree the mapping between the geographic areas and the location of the customer offices. This allows the service to direct callers to the nearest agreed geographic office based on its location.

There are a number of defaults and options available:

• Caller Line Identity (CLI): On receiving a call with no CLI a message can ask the caller to key the number using the phone keys - DTMF.


• Optional Greeting / Goodbye message: The service can give an optional greeting message when first answering the call, and also an optional goodbye message before either transferring the call or disconnecting the line.


• Mobile callers: Callers from mobiles can be asked for a landline number or STD code, or they can be automatically directed to a store that takes all mobiles enquiries.


• Optional announcement per office location: When an office has been found the service can play an individual message for each shop location.


• Multiple offices per area: If there is more than one office per geographical area then calls are routed to the offices on a 'least used' system.


• Transfer of caller after announcement: The service can be configured so that after giving the message for that specific geographic area the call is terminated, for instance an announcement service that has locally available information but no office to put a call through to.


• Announcement of all offices within an area: This option may be possible if built with an additional Interactive Voice Response (IVR) application.
